nature-based wellbeing programs
Connect - Create - Reflect
Bush Talk offers immersive nature-based wellbeing programs designed to help individuals connect with nature, with others, and with themselves.
Our sessions create a safe and supportive space for personal growth, encouraging participants to build healthy relationships and a sense of belonging.
Through shared experiences in nature, we foster community, resilience, and self-discovery, empowering individuals to explore who they are and the world around them.

Creating strong relationships and learning about how to cultivate healthier communication has been a strong theme throughout my professional and personal life. My experience as a mentor, counsellor and in education support, has strengthened my belief that helping individuals form strong, healthy relationships directly improves overall happiness and wellbeing.
Deepening my connection to nature and learning bush craft has been personaly meaningful and has lead to an increase in confidence, peace and and connection to the land I live on. This inspired me to begin looking at ways I could combine teaching communication practices with bush skills and natural learning.
In 2021, I began facilitating Bush Talk sessions in primary schools with a goal to explicitly teach the skills of how to have more meaningful relationships. I have delighted in watching participants growth in physical capability, confidence, respect and love in the outdoors and time and time again, observing participants choose to increase constructive and thoughtful behaviour and interactions brings me great joy.

- “Over the years working alongside Bek in Bush Talk, I’ve had the opportunity to learn invaluable skills and forge meaningful connections with the students at Mullum Primary School. From crafting cordage using materials harvested directly from the school’s garden to making fire with flint and steel, I gained hands-on knowledge that connected me deeply to both the land and ancient practices. Bek’s approach as a teacher is both generous and grounded; she combines a wealth of knowledge with a gentle, honest demeanour that fosters growth and curiosity in everyone around her. I'm truly grateful for the experience and everything I’ve learned during this time.” Deanne LawnVisual Arts TeacherMullum Primary School
